Weird and wild enough to have first caught the eyes of MTV pranksters, Steve-O and Tom Green, he never performs the same show twice. Using a one-of-a-kind blend of stand-up, improv and crowd work, his act stays organic, original, never offensive and always on-point.

 

A stand-up comedian first and foremost, he’s best known for his star role in the movie, HEADSTRONG (2019). The documentary follows his time touring the country with WWE Hall-of-Famer Rob Van Dam, as his comedy manager and opening act.

 

He broke into the national comedy scene in 2013, opening up for Steve-O & Tom Green's "Original Pranksters" Las Vegas Strip Residency at the legendary Starlite Theater at The Riviera. At the time of landing the gig, he was still living in his hometown, the unlikely locale of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

 

Growing up across the street from a quiet cornfield, he never thought he would get a shot at living his dream. Since then, he’s paid the piper time and time again to build an act that’s undeniable. 

 

From 2013-2017, he was fortunate enough to relentlessly tour all over North America. His tour history includes stints across the USA & Canada, with members of WWE, UFC, TNA Impact Wrestling, Trailer Park Boys, Broken Lizard, Kenny Vs Spenny, Whitest Kids U'Know, Viva La Bam, CKY and the cast of MTV's Jackass.

In 2017, he returned to Vegas as the Feature Act for Tom Green's "The Tom Green Show" Las Vegas Strip Residency at Bally's. He spent the next three years living on the Las Vegas Strip, working stages at Vegas’ major comedy clubs and performing on various production shows nightly.

 

In 2020, the pandemic put his Las Vegas ambitions on pause, but he didn’t give up.

 

He moved back to Iowa and soon began work on his first one-man-band documentary as a film director, producer, cinematographer, and editor. The movie follows classic arcade world record breakers as they push further into their obscure obsessions. ARCADE GAMER: THE TRUE STORY (2023) is currently on Tubi and Amazon Prime. IndyRed Film Reviews called it, "...a testament to those of us that never fully grow up and remain young at heart forever and ever."

 

Then, in 2024, he joined Eastern Iowa's Rock 108 Morning Show with Brian Marshall for a regular radio segment called, "Top 5 Tuesday with Tom Garland," where he reads off a different, 100% original, funny list of jokes every week.

He continues to perform stand-up comedy and will never stop living his dream.
